For the culture vultures

For anyone who likes to be outdoors, Into The Wild – the based-on-a-real-life tale of Chris McCandless’s disappearance and eventual quest for survival in the middle of Alaska – shouldn’t be missed.

It’s one of the most beautifully-shot movies I’ve ever seen, but McCandless’s story (based on a meticulously researched book by Jon Krakauer) is equal parts inspiring and troubling. Go see it.

Hi Lee,

I will check out this movie…although sadly my region of the province tends to be underserviced in terms of movie theaters. Actually, it tends to be under represented in a lot of recreational ammenities…the Welland Food Festival being a prime example. Aside from the exotic game meats vendor, it was a slim picking for ethnic or interesting cuisine last night (unless your idea of multi-culturalism involves Rose City Pizza, lol)
